The Truck2012 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport 4×4 with full-size crew cab and leather seats, a 5′ 7″ short bed, a 5.7L (345cid) V-8 Hemi gasoline engine, 3.55 axle ratio, automatic transmission with 6 forward gears, 730-amp battery, 160-amp alternator, HD shocks all around, front and rear stabilizer bars, aluminum wheels and over-size brakes, tire pressure monitor system, in-dash radio/GPS/backup camera system. It even has a light in the ash tray! The truck now has a full-size Leer 100XR canopy installed over the truck bed for storage of all the bits and pieces needed for this adventure.
“Towhee” the Trailer2013 Rockwood MiniLite, 20′ 4″ length overall, 8′ wide, 9′ 10″ tall, with aluminum wheels, electric brakes, a Murphy bed that folds up inside against the forward wall to provide more floor space during the day, a very comfortable couch, a shower with a tub, and the usual kitchen, dinette, and storage facilities. The connection between truck and trailer now includes a very substantial Equal-i-zer weight distribution and sway control system.
