Ainsworth – pretty pictures

October, 2018

Here are two of the pretty pictures that I promised you (more will be in the next and final post of this series).  The third photo here is a goofy one that we can have fun with. 🙂

I’ve mentioned that the Historic Columbia River Highway was closed, but I found a very short section of it that was still open … and here it is.  Isn’t it pretty!?

There was a mile or so of it open, no other cars on it, so I just cruised ever so slowly with my windows open enjoying the smells and the sounds and the views of the autumn colors, the deep greens of the trees, and the wonderful mosses.  Yum.  (click to enlarge the photos)

And THIS photo (below) I couldn’t resist.  It’s just clouds in a pretty blue sky, but I laughed out loud when I saw it.

One LARGE somebody has somebody else by the tail!  Yikes!  But I don’t know who (or what) they are?  Who are these critters anyway?  Help me everyone.  🙂

Such a pretty road. The clouds look like a giant anteater and a bison.

I’ve been reading this blog for over a year and just want to thank you for sharing these trips. Great info and great photos! Like others here have said, I always learn something. I don’t know what those clouds are though. Looks like a big cat and dog fight! And one of them is definitely losing! 🙂

Hi Nebraska … thanks for reading and traveling along with me. 🙂 And thanks for the compliments. They always feel good to me. Feel free to ask questions or ask for more information, or a different subject altogether. Everyone’s input is more than welcome!
Ha, yes, a cat and dog fight for sure! One heck of a mess!

I saw some giant dinosaur too. LOVE the curving road and that you got to drive it without much of anyone else there so you could stop and grab those shots!

That road is so sweet, isn’t it? It didn’t take long to drive that mile or two, but it sure was my favorite thing I did on this trip.
