It has been more than a year since the last issues with online connectivity occurred for this blog. But it seems there are some problems now again … sigh. I’m working with the webhost company to resolve them. So far, everyone is pointing their finger at everyone else and no one is taking responsibility. I’ll get it sorted out as soon as I can.
In the meantime, there are THREE different web addresses (known as a URL) for this blog.
1. This one “should” work for you … http://travelswithtowhee.com/the-blog.
2. This one “should” work also … www.travelswithtowhee.com/the-blog.
3. But for a few of you, you may need to use this one … https://travelswithtowhee.com/the-blog.
Notice that the third address has an “s” in the “https” part, where the first two addresses do not have that “s”.
If you have the blog bookmarked (or saved in your favorites) and it opens with an SSL error message, please try the first web address above … http://travelswithtowhee.com/the-blog. You may have to type that entire thing (including the “http://”) into your browser, NOT into a search engine, not into a search engine, but directly into your browser heading.
My apologies. I’ll get everything sorted out as soon as I can.
Yikes! Sure hope that kitty can get his head back out of that tray.
Ha! It has been a week since I first noticed the problems. Given the response of the computer technicians so far, my money is on the kitty! 🙂
Wow, hope you can get it figured out!
Being a retired MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) for the State of Washington [worked for them for 11 years], I have a VERY good idea of what the problem is. But I can’t get into the “back end” of the webhost system … they have to do it. Grrrr. Thanks Dawn. 🙂
We can get your blog just fine Ann and we hope everything gets worked out quickly. What a headache!
Glad you’re still getting it without problem Marge. I will persevere!!
I just figured something out! Some of the photos in earlier blogs don’t show up, their just white, but if I click on one of them and get a stupid error message and then go to the heading of THAT page and delete everything to the left of “travelswithtowhee” and then the photo info, and then click on “go”, the photo opens. I’m not doing that with all those photos, but maybe that might help you figure out what’s up. We too get your blog just fine Ann and the current photos all open just fine, it’s just those old ones.
Tim, thank you! I didn’t realize older photos weren’t showing up properly. I have now checked old blog posts and you sure are correct. The problem with them is that letter “s” is in the URL for the photos. You are darned smart to think to remove the “https://” and THEN open the photos. I bet you might be able to simply delete the “s” in the URL at the top of your browser. Guess I’ll have to hire you as a webmaster! 🙂
Oops, nope, you do have to delete the entire “https://i2.wp.com/” to make those photos open … just as you said Tim. But yes this gives me more ammunition to use with the webhost techs!
