Ann, you have kept us in suspense long enough! Show us what she looks like inside!
Ok, ok, ok, hang onto your britches. First I have to tidy up, sweep the floor, dust off the counters, arrange the decorations, open the window shades, turn on the lights, plump the pillows, etc. You know how it is when you’re about to have company.
Ok, here she is!
Come on in!
You walk in the door and look to the left (towards the rear of the trailer) ….
Isn’t she bright and fun?
That window outside the rear trailer window is my home’s kitchen window. The black pedestal under the trailer’s table allows it to be easily raised or lowered to any height desired, including lowering to become a double/full bed. [By default, the table had two solid legs that got in the way of one’s feet and legs when sitting there and did not allow the table to be lowered for computer/laptop height, etc.] The table top glides left and right to allow easy access to the dinette seats, and can be locked in place when desired (especially when towing).
Now, turn around and look towards the front of the trailer ….
The bed is double/full wide but queen-size long, just fine for me. I added the front window as an option. It has a panel over it on the outside that opens and, when it’s closed, it’s a rock guard for that window glass since that’s the very front of the trailer. For security, I wanted to be able to see out the front of the trailer, particularly since that’s usually where the truck will be parked. So when I’m out camping, I expect I will open that front exterior rock guard when I arrive at my destination and simply leave it open as long as I’m camped in a particular spot. The door to the right of the bed is the bathroom with toilet and small sink, a toiletries cabinet, and a “wet bath” which means the entire bathroom is the shower. Some trailers have a separate shower, but they take up a lot of storage space in a small trailer.
Just a little soft, fluffy decadence. 🙂
And here’s a fun old sign that I thought went well with the race car checkerboard floor and roll-away-tool-box red interior design, given that I’m a retired mechanic. And one always likes to think that as they get older they also get wiser. No need for anyone to tell us any differently, eh?
There are lots more details and lots more custom stuff and interesting things about this trailer. The amount of storage is amazing. The refrigerator/freezer is huge. I had ETI install a larger sink and a taller faucet in the kitchen. There are extraordinarily efficient cubby holes by the door for your keys, or hats, gloves, flashlight, bear spray (bear spray!?), or anything else you want to keep close at hand whether you are inside or outside. I will share more of those details, and information about the electrical system and all of its doo-dads, in a future post.
But for now, at least you know what the interior looks like and what my color scheme is … so very important in life! 🙂
I may not keep her this tidy all the time, but I hope to keep the flotsam and jetsam to a minimum. A space this small could get messy and cluttered fairly quickly.
Thanks for coming inside for the tour and a visit. I sure like your company. 🙂
I love the black and red colors! I think you are really going to enjoy this new RV. It looks so cozy.
It sure does feel cozy too. I love to just sit in it and look around.
Beautiful!!!! I bet you can’t wait to hit the road!
Oh man you’ve got that right, Peter. Itchin’ to go!
She’s a real beauty! So proud for you. May you have many years of travels in her. Can’t wait to get started.
BTW, I found you thru RV Sue’s site. Thanks for allowing me to tag along.
Cat Lady
Thank you Cat Lady. 🙂 And welcome to the blog. Please tag along for as long as you want. I’m glad you’re here.
What a great looking trailer . I can see you put a great deal of thought into the build . It will be interesting to be able to go long on your blog as you enjoy life in this beautiful camper . Safe travels ‘
Thanks Vernon. Can’t wait to get out there camping and share more photos and stories. It’s nice knowing y’all are out there with me.
This is beautiful. Love the flooring…and the red accents. It looks perfect!
🙂 Thank you Dawn.
You are going to love travelling in this tiny little home. All you need now is a puppy to accompany you!!
Ha! You must stop that!! 🙂 The birds wouldn’t come to me nearly as much, nor other critters, if I had a dog along. Maybe one day though. It is so tempting! I do love this tiny little home … took me almost 12 whole seconds to sweep the floor this morning. There are benefits to living small.
That is one classy domain!
🙂
It is adorable and I hope you have many fun adventures. Like the light color cabinets, have seen a few new RV’s with dark cabinets and while the wood is beautiful it is to dark and looks very closed in.
That’s exactly how it felt in my first trailer … very pretty dark wood, but it made the whole trailer feel dark inside even when the lights were on. Thanks Jo. 🙂
Very sweet!!
🙂
How great you new home on the road is – and perfect with your special touches. We’re happy for you and hope some day to see it in person! Oh, and you too, of course!
Ha! Yes, I sure hope to meet you folks too. It would be great to share stories and ideas. I’ll be right behind you! 🙂
